Be bold

The first solos you do, you don’t know what you’re doing or whether it sounds any good. That’s fine, but don’t admit it! Play boldly - make mistakes with style - look like you’re having the best time - sell the solo to the audience. Don’t pause or hesitate - just go for it. The audience will follow (and be impressed by) how you look, not how you feel.
